Chris began working as a DJ in high school , spinning records at parties and school dances. This carried over to college where Chris hosted a weekly radio show called "Quarterback Corner". The show consisted of music and interviews of his fellow football players. After college Chris began teaching and coaching at his alma mater Yorktown High School, in Arlington, VA., where his is currently the announcer for all home football and basketball games.

Chris first met Sound Wave Entertainments founder Jim Hester at the Washington Bridal Showcase wedding show in January 1999. Chris quickly hired Jim to DJ his wedding that same year and the two have been the best of friends every since. Chris joined Sound Wave Entertainment in the winter of 2001 as a club and karaoke DJ, and has become one of the companies top wedding DJs. Chris spent many nights following Jim from wedding to wedding for almost seven months. He was sent out on his own by in June 2002 as a wedding specialist. Chris now has over one hundred fifty weddings under his belt since then. (Click here to see what our clients have said about Chris)

Like Sound Wave founder Jim Hester, Chris does not see himself as a DJ, but as an entertainer. Chris enjoys interacting with guest whether it's line dancing, interviews during our "married couples" dance, or singing a tune or two. Chris's childhood was spent listening to Motown with his mother. His wide knowledge of music allows him to keep your guest entertained no matter what their age or taste in music.

"What motivates me to entertain is that I approach every wedding as if it was my own daughter's wedding." -- Chris Williams
